The daughter of Kyoko Zeppelin Soryu. Asuka had undergone training since she was a small child, after being selected as the pilot of Unit-02. She is a very skilled pilot, however often struggles to sync with her eva. She and the Third Children. are currently under the guardianship of Commander Katsuragi.2. Asuka is considered a prodigy, having already graduated from college at 14 years old. Because she is not yet adequate at Kanji, she is attending school with the First and the Third at Tokyo-3 First Municipal Junior High School, in Class 2A
