1.The young son of Commander Ikari, and bio-engineer Yui Ikari. In the year of 2004, his mother disappeared in a contact experiment Unit-01. Following the contact experiment, Shinji had been staying with his teacher for most of his life prior to being summoned to Tokyo 3 at age 14. Shinji is a meek and [typically] obedient young boy who possesses exceptional talent at piloting an Evangelion, almost as if he was born to do so, however he is often driven by fear that holds him back from his duties. Currently, Shinji Ikari and Asuka Langley Soryu are under the guardianship of Commander Katsuragi. Katsuragi.2.Shinji attends school at Tokyo-3 First Municipal Junior High School, in Class 2A.
